The Julie Connot Rice Memorial Scholarship Fund has been created in Julie’s memory to provide psychology scholarships for students at UNL. Julie grew up in on a farm/ranch near Valentine, Nebraska – eighth of eleven children. Julie had some challenging times, but found focus and meaning in her life earning her psychology degree at UNL and when she met her husband Brian. Julie was truly happy and her future was bright. Tragically, Julie was taken from her family far too soon after battling cancer. The Julie Connot Rice Scholarship will be awarded to promising psychology students with a will to overcome obstacles and work toward a promising future.
