In addition to providing clinical training to the graduate
students in the Clinical Psychology Training Program, the PCC also
provides educational opportunities for members of the professional
community. The PCC hosts a series of PCC Practice Updates for students, faculty, and community members.
PCC Practice Updates past topics and presenters include: Evidence-based strategies for anxiety disorders presented by Dr. Debra Hope; Cognitive processing therapy: An evidence-based approach for treating PTSD presented by Dr. Andrea Perry; An acceptance-based behavior therapy for generalized anxiety disorder presented by Dr. Sarah Hayes; and Behavioral parent training: What do and how to do it presented by Dr. Keith Allen. Evaluations of the PCC Practice Updates
have consistently yielded ratings indicating agreement and strong
agreement with statements that the programs met objectives, that
presenters were knowledgeable, and that information presented was
relevant to practice and professional goals. If you would like more information on PCC Practice Updates or
