Kate is currently a fifth year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Training Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her clinical and research interests include the factors that influence outcomes following child sexual abuse and the assessment and intervention of child maltreatment. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Family Interaction Skills Clinic and the recipient of the 2018-2019 Maude Hammond Fling Fellowship.

Kate graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology, Leadership and Communication, and Child, Youth, and Family Studies. She worked as a research assistant in several labs on campus, particularly in the Child Maltreatment Lab and Trauma, Violence, and Abuse lab. She volunteered at a local elementary school working individually with low-income kindergartners, the Clyde Malone Community Center, Voices of Hope, and the Child Advocacy Center.
