Law-Psychology alumnus Cantone to be honored Oct. 24

Jason A. Cantone (UNL JD/MA '08, Ph.D. '11) has been named the Law-Psychology Program's 2024 Distinguished Alumni. An event celebrating his accomplishments will be held on October 24 at 4:00 p.m. in 80 Burnett Hall. He will discuss the impact that his law and psychology education has had on his life's work.

Cantone is a Senior Research Associate at the Federal Judicial Center (FJC). His FJC research focuses on federal court administration and case management, civil litigation, science and the law, and cooperation between federal and state courts. He was elected to serve on the AP-LS Executive Committee and APA Council of Representatives from 2018 to 2023, has authored several law review and psychology journal articles, and co-edited the recent Cambridge Handbook of Psychology and Legal Decision-Making.
