Core Faculty
In addition to taking courses in both Social and Cognitive Psychology. Social and Cognitive students must have at least one faculty member with social psychology expertise and at least one faculty member with cognitive psychology expertise on their supervisory committee and are encouraged to broaden their skills by working on research with more than one faculty member. Students can choose experiences that range from more basic to more applied, depending on research and career interests. Students in the social and cognitive track are also encouraged to seek out interdisciplinary courses in areas related to their research (e.g., political science, law, sociology, educational psychology, women and gender studies, and ethnic studies).
