Taylor entered the clinical psychology program at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in Fall 2013. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas in 2011 where he worked with Dr. Lindsay Ham researching alcohol use in college students with social anxiety. He then attended Mississippi State University and completed a Master’s in clinical psychology in 2013. At MSU, he worked with Dr. Jared Keeley researching the classification of psychopathology, with a dual interest of examining teaching effectiveness. His Master’s thesis evaluated how the DSM-5 changes to Alcohol Use Disorder would affect college studentsversus their non-college attending peers. Taylor’s overarching research interests involve college binge drinking and its effect on academic performance and dropout rates. He is currently focusing on the relationship between binge drinking and sleep disturbance and its consequent impact on academic functioning.

Taylor went on internship at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He is also working on his dissertation which focuses on alcohol and sleep disturbances.
