Our Mission

Quant Club was established in 2020 with the goal of creating a space for graduate students to discuss statistics and methodology, hear from experts, and foster collaboration among graduate students. By fostering this collaboration, we hope to increase the accessibility of quantitative methods and help each other build confidence in diverse methodologies. This inclusive group is run by graduate students and is a space where students of varying comfort levels and experience with quantitative methods are welcome. All you need is interest, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Often meetings function as an "Analysis Work Group." This is an hour and a half of dedicated time for students to work on quant-related tasks such as writing up methods/results, writing syntax/code for running analyses, developing an analytic plan, working on stats homework, etc. This provides a great opportunity for people to get peer consultation and help with troubleshooting problems. Meetings are open to all UNL graduate students inside and outside of Psychology.

If you are interested in joining or staying updated on Quant Club meetings and events, email the current Quant Assistant during the academic year to be added to the Quant Club Teams channel.
