Jennifer Blank, BA

   

Jennifer Blank is a Research Study Coordinator in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She works primarily with the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp) program, which focuses on the implementation and dissemination of CBTp across the state of Washington. Jennifer graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English. During her undergraduate career, she worked with the Serious Mental Illness (SMI) Research Group as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. After graduation, Jennifer was hired on as the SMI Research Group's Lab Manager. Throughout her work as an RA and Lab manager, Jennifer worked on several projects examining risk factors for psychosis. Additionally, she conducted an independent collaborative research study that examined the implications of childhood maltreatment on service use among persons with SMI, which she presented as a first-author poster at the 52nd Annual Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Conference in 2018. Jennifer continues to collaborate with the SMI Research Group on several research projects aimed at better understanding factors that contribute to the development of psychopathology. Jennifer plans to apply to Clinical Psychology Doctoral programs in 2022. Jennifer is interested in researching the impact of stigma on psychosis-treatment, as well as procedural justice in restrictive clinical settings (e.g., Extended Acute Inpatient Treatment Programs, Residential Facilities).
