Kristen Laib, MS

Kristen is interested in improving the breadth and quality of services provided to individuals with severe mental illness.  In addition to improving individualized services (e.g., psychotherapy), Kristen is interested in public policy and administration aimed at improving mental health treatment systems.  Kristen incorporates mixed-method analysis to increase our understanding of systemic factors upon individual treatment outcomes.  The contextual information provided through mixed-method analysis can increase the translation and generalization of research findings across a variety of treatment settings. 

This year, Kristen is continuing her work at the Community Mental Health Center as a psychology extern at the Day Rehabilitation facility, Midtown Center.  Midtown provides day rehabilitation services to adults with serious mental illness, with a goal of improving daily and occupational functioning.  She works as a team member providing technical expertise, monitoring of services, and program development activities. 

Last year, Kristen worked at the Community Mental Health Center providing individual therapy, psychological evaluation, completing intake assessments, and program evaluation.
