Paul S. Nabity, M.A., M.S. Paul’s research interests in serious mental illness are biologically oriented. His primary interest includes researching and incorporating biological assessment into clinical practice. He is also interested in understanding which underlying biological systems are involved with psychosis and the role of perceived & actual environmental stress as an influence on physiology and psychopathology. Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1997, a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Science (Microbiology) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005, and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012. Prior to entering clinical psychology PhD program, Paul was involved in several microbiology and genetic mapping research projects. He was a teaching assistant for Abnormal Psychology & Human Sexuality courses for the 2010-2011 academic year. He was a research assistant for Dr. Ming Li (biopsychology) during the 2011-2012 academic year. He had practicum placements within the Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) system during the 2012-2014 academic years including outpatient, day-rehab and crisis center experiences with serious mental illness populations. His current extern placement for the academic 2014-2015 year is at OMNI Behavioral Health working with an intensive family intervention (IFP) group.
