Petra Kleinlein, PhD Petra’s research interests include cognitive and affective deficits in psychotic disorders. She is specifically interested in the effects of various treatment approaches on symptom presentation, cognitive functioning, and social cognition in schizophrenia. Currently, she is working as a Senior Psychology Extern at CTP where she represents psychology on interdisciplinary treatment teams. Prior to coming to UNL, Petra received her BA (Psychology/Sociology) from Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, IL) in 2000, and her MA (Social Sciences, focus Clinical Psychology) from the University of Chicago (Chicago, IL) in 2001. She has worked on research projects involving neuropsychological, oculomotor, and fMRI testing with seriously mentally ill patients at the University of Chicago Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the Center for Cognitive Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
