Law and Policy Lab

The Law and Policy Lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is interested in how the law intervenes in decision making. Headed by Eve Brank, a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers use various psychological theories to investigate different areas of law and public policy.

Eve Brank, JD, PhD

I am a professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Law-Psychology and Social and Cognitive programs of the Psychology Department with a courtesy appointment at the College of Law. I am also the Director at the Center for Children, Families, and the Law, the Co-Director of the Peer Review of Teaching Project and the Faculty Advisor for the Scientific Resources for the Law (SRL) programs here at the university.

Currently, I serve as the Past-President of the American Psychology-Law Society (Division 41 of APA) and the Coeditor of  Court Review.

About Eve

My J.D. and Ph.D. are from Nebraska. After graduating from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida (as Eve Leonard), I came to graduate/law school at UNL. Five years later I was back in Florida teaching at the University of Florida. Now I'm back in Lincoln. Although I went to high school (Go WNHS Warriors!) and college (Go JU Dolphins!) in Florida, I think of Lincoln as my hometown.

When I'm not working I enjoy running, sewing, reading, and listening to the greatest singer/songwriter of all time (Jimmy Buffett).
