This program is co-sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Psychology. The Department of Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Department of Psychology maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Participants attending this program can receive up to five CEs (ONE CE credit hour FOR PARTICIPATION IN EACH SESSION). This symposium will address critical issues in relation to the psychological resilience and wellbeing in women and gender diverse folx. The target audience for all sessions of the symposium includes psychologists, counselors, social scientists, educators, and other parties interested in mental and sexual health presented at an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and expertise. This symposium includes six separate sessions, five of which are eligible for CE credits. There are three sessions on Thursday, April 20th, and three sessions on Friday, April 21st. Each session will be 60 minutes long followed by 15 minutes for discussion. Please consult the schedule to learn about session times. Each session includes specific learning objectives, which can be found on the website and within the evaluation forms. These forms will be provided at the time of the Symposium. Information regarding speaker credentials and expertise are also available on the symposium website.
The cost for CE credit for each session is $25. Individuals may, however, wish to register for the entire symposium and attend all sessions (5 hours of CE) at the cost of $100. Individuals interested in receiving CE credits may register for individual sessions or the entire symposium by contacting Samantha Kirk at 402-472-2351 (samantha.kirk@unl.edu). CE registration is also available the two days of the Symposium, April 20 - 21 2023 at the Nebraska Union from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No refunds will be available. A certificate of attendance for CE credit for each session will be provided to participants at the end of each session.
