Julie Wertheimer

Julie Wertheimer is from Colorado Springs, CO. She received her BA in Psychology with minors in English Literature and Theatre Performance from Knox College in Galesburg, IL in 2016. She is currently pursuing her JD at the University of Nebraska College of Law and her PhD in Social Psychology at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. As an undergrad, she did independent research projects on the C.S.I. Effect (the alleged effect that watching crime shows has on jurors’ expectations of forensic evidence) and on the relationship between rejection and ingratiation. She is interested in researching jury decision-making and criminal rehabilitation methods that will help lower recidivism rates. In her spare time, Julie enjoys reading, running, singing show-tunes, and watching baby animal videos.
