Shaundra graduated in 2026 with a major in Psychology and minors in CYAF and Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. During her undergrad she received the highest distinction through the College of Arts and Sciences for her thesis focusing on first-generation student success and was involved in the University Honors Program.

“The UNL Psych Program encouraged me toward my career by allowing me a well-rounded education. I was able to gain a variety of skills in research and soft skills through the discussion-based courses. I also had encouraging mentors like Dr. Manda Williamson and Dr. Chelsea Witt who continuously worked with me and my love for research in undergrad!”

She is currently working in the UNL Office of Admissions as the High Achieving and Honors Recruitment Specialist. This has allowed her to work closely with Honors Partners to bring help academically driven students to UNL. Shaundra said, "I was a student in the University Honors Program, and I loved the connections I was able to make! I hope to bring prospective students here to have the same experience I did."

Shaundra is also pursuing a master's in higher education administration here at UNL. Her involvement with New Student Enrollment, as well as the Honors Program, fostered her passion for connecting with students in higher education and developing programs to be successful for all students. Shaundra said, "My end career goal with my master's program is to have a career in higher education where I can mentor students. I love making lasting and impactful connections with others. I know the college transition can feel difficult coming to UNL from a small town and as a first-generation student, if I can help in any way, I would love to do that."
