55 Honors students participated in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Student Research Days Undergraduate Poster Fair and Creative Exhibition. Students showcased their research or creative activity, communicated their results to others, and learned about additional areas of research and creative activity.

Ayden Topping, a fourth-year psychology major, said she appreciated the opportunity to present her passions to an audience and felt that Honors helped her strengthen her research leading up to the poster fair.

“They push you to explore things outside of the standard curriculum, but it’s still within Honors,” she said. “It is always so fun and helpful to talk with other Honors students who are doing research as well.”

Topping participated in multiple Honors 99H courses focused on research. She developed her presentation skills and learned from both faculty and her peers in these Honors classes.

“Honors has definitely encouraged me to do things like this, and be academically involved,” Andrew Moyer, a fourth-year biological sciences major, said. “Without Honors, this is something I never would have done.”
