What are you most excited for during your study abroad experience?
I am the first person to do something like this in my family. Studying abroad gives you the feeling that you are capable of anything! You have to navigate many different situations. Honestly I'm really proud of myself and I am most excited to see what I take away from this experience in the long-term. I hope that I can encourage my younger siblings and other first-generation students that traveling the world is possible.

What's the biggest difference between Nebraska and Granada?
Granada, Spain is very easy to navigate on foot. People walk everywhere. I walk to school, I walk to hiking locations, I walk to restaurants. It makes it easy to be spontaneous and wander. It will be weird having to drive everywhere again and do a bit more planning ahead when I want to go out or go on a hike.

What are you missing most while you're abroad?
I really miss mac & cheese and burritos. Obviously I miss my family and friends back home but I know that I will see them again soon! Time really flies when you are abroad.

What is the last hobby you picked up?
I started rock climbing at the Outdoor Adventure Center my Sophomore year and I've really kept up with it. It's a hobby that you can really see improvement fast if you are consistent and that makes it very rewarding. I also started ballet around the same time. I know dance is harder to do once you are older but it's never too late!

When I'm not in class, you can probably find me...
Giving tours on campus, rock climbing, painting or hammocking in front of the union.

Who should everyone be following?
@nasaclimatechange or some kind of account that can help you understand climate change and what you can be doing to help.
