Alec Miller

Majors: Psychology, Spanish

Alec is a research assistant in the Trauma, Violence, and Abuse Lab and the Clinical Neuroscience and Neuropsychology Lab where they are working to better understand how biological, psychological, and cognitive functioning are affected after traumatic brain injury. He also serves as the Communications Committee Chair in ASUN Student Government. In this role, he leads a committee that is the bridge between the student body and ASUN through running their social media and engaging with students on campus.

When asked what he loves about psychology, Alec said, "I love how there are endless opportunities to ask questions and discover more about our complicated world and selves, and how in doing so we can help people live more fulfilling and healthy lives in the present."

His favorite #UNLPsych class is one he is in right now! He says, "I love PSYC450 with Cal; it is a smaller, more personal class where we go in depth into more complex research designs to accommodate for the complex world we live in!"

A fun fact about Alec is that he loves to read and write short stories!
