2021 April 5: Carolyn Brown-Kramer: Conversation around "Transform your teaching with Perusall" webinar
- Information on the Perusall webinar available here
- Perusall is a social annotation tool in which students engage around a piece of text or other artifact (article, book chapter, web page, YouTube video, and more) to ask questions, respond to each other, and dig deeply into the assigned material. Perusall uses artificial intelligence to grade the quality of students' annotations and engagement with each other, and then produces useful reports for instructors to identify common areas of confusion or starting points for class time together. If you are using an e-textbook, students can purchase access through Perusall; otherwise, Perusall is free to students, faculty, and institutions.
- Carolyn pilot tested Perusall in Spring 2021 for the first time in PSYC 462, Motivation and Emotion, and liked it a lot. Email her if you'd like to learn more.
